 As a Registered Nurse and single mom, starting a business at 42 was the last thing I thought I would do. However, at the urging of family and friends following a baby shower in which I first gave a Cuddles-N-Coos baby, that is exactly what I did. Since starting Bundle A Baby in July of 2007, I have shipped babies to Maine, Massachusetts, Virginia, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Hollywood California, Alabama, and my home state of Tennessee.
I hate to admit Cuddles-N-Coos were started accidentally. I was trying to make a “diaper cake” type gift using blankets and sleepers and failed miserably. I gave up and settled on a baby shower gift bag for the items and left to fix supper. When I returned to wrap the items I noticed that they resembled a baby and two hours later I emerged with the first Cuddles-N-Coos. Taking far less than 2 hours to make now, I still hand assemble each baby with the same love and attention to detail as the very first one.
Today I am grateful that I failed at diaper cake making. These little babies serve two great gift-giving pleasures. The mother-to-be gets presented with a life size “baby” made up of the very things she needs for her new arrival, and you have the pride of having bought the gift that everyone talks about. Lets face it, as women we love to have our baby shower gift be the one everyone talked about. That is why I started Bundle A Baby; to give you the opportunity to have the “it” gift.
Since designing Cuddles-N-Coos, I have been busy brainstorming on other great unique and unusual gifts that hopefully hold the same “it” factor that Cuddles-N-Coos has earned.
